Steve,

http://freecode.com/cgi-bin/viewsource.pl?7202,Base64.java

Java...
 or

http://freecode.com/cgi-bin/viewsource.pl?3704,MHonArc2.3.3/lib/base64.pl

Perl...(I think)

I found the coolest most concise description of the process on some MIME page, but my mailer croaked and it got erased. If I can track it down again, I will repost it. Primenet is doing another one of its dead web things on me at the moment.

X-FB ps:Off Topic, but historically topical for mountaineering buffs and others: In an interesting sidenote for those who know the story and would care, George Mallory's body was found on Mt. Everest recently after 75 years at the 27,000 ft. level. Still no determination as to whether he first achieved the summit back in 1924, years before Hillary did in the early 50's. (came across that on a news link during the search :) Thanks Steve! :)
