Baked Apples A L’orange

INGREDIENTS

6 Cooking apples
1/4 c Unsweetened apple juice
1/4 c water
1 T Lemon juice
2 Whole cloves
1 4-inch stick cinnamon
broken in half
1/3 c Reduced-calorie orange
marmalade
6 Gingersnap cookies, crushed

INSTRUCTIONS

Core apples to within 1/2 inch from bottom; peel top third of each
apple. Place apples in a 12" x 8" x 2" baking dish; add apple  juiceand
next 4 ingredients.  Bake, uncovered, at 350F for 30  minutes, basting
often with cooking liquid.  Remove apples from oven;  spoon equal
amounts of marmalade into center of each apple, and  sprinkle with
gingersnap crumbs. Bake an additional 5 minutes or  until apples are
done.  Yield: 6 servings. (127 calories per serving.)  :0.9g protein,
1.9g fat, 29g carbohydrate, 3mg cholesterol, 14mg  sodium, and 36mg
