Baked Apples With Eggnog Custard

INGREDIENTS

8 Rome apples
1/2 lb Butter
1 c Light brown sugar
Cinnamon
1 qt Egg nog
1 Vanilla bean, split
lengthwise
8 Egg yolks
1/4 c Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Recipe by: CHEF DU JOUR DON PINTABONA SHOW #DJ9108  Preheat oven to 350
degrees. Peel and core apple. Stuff each apple  with brown sugar and a
pat of butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon. In a  buttered pan, bake apples
for about 30 minutes, or until soft,  basting with butter after 15
minutes.  In saucepan warm eggnog with vanilla bean until begins to
steam. In  separate bowl combine egg yolks with sugar. Slowly whisk egg
mixture  into eggnog until fully incorporated  Converted by MC_Buster.
