DOCTOR, DOCTOR
by J. Randal Matheny

Doctor, doctor, do me right!
Fix my wrongs, and lose my weight;
In your fancy smock of white,
Save me from the jaws of fate.

All these years of hog and sloth
Have lately taken a heavy toll;
This sluggish body's girthly growth
Has put into my gait a roll.

So, doctor, do your check and test,
Prescribe some pills, perform your magic,
Make me well, don't spare your best,
And keep my case from being tragic.
