I watched a video on the making of Aja in my studio engineering class the other night. I'm only 30 (Aja was released the year I was born), but I was one of the few in the class who had any comprehension of who The Dan was and the significance of Aja.

I went and picked it up last night. I've got other Steely Dan albums with most of those songs on them, but my only copy of Aja was in vinyl form. You can probably guess that I don't have a record player (hey, I'm only 30!).

I'm reminded of how good music can be and how absolutely awful the current state of the music industry is in terms of content. Where are the The Dark Side of the Moons and the Ajas and the Gracelands?
