If God Should Go On Strike Monday

"If God Should Go On Strike"

How good it is that God above has never gone on strike because He was
not treated fair in things He didn't like. If only once He'd given up
and said,
"That's it, I'm through,
I've had enough of thee on earth,
so this is what I'll do"
"I'll give my orders to the sun,
cut off the heat supply,
and to the moon give no more light
and run the oceans dry.
Then just to make things really tough
and put the pressure on,
turn off the vital oxygen till every breath is gone."
You know that He would be justified,
if fairness were the game,
for no one has been more abused or
met with more disdain,
than God, and yet He carries on,
supplying you and me,
With all the favors of His grace,
and everything for free.
Men say they want a better deal,
and so on strike they go,
but what a deal we've given God
to whom all things we owe.
We don't care who we hurt to gain
the things we like,
but what a mess we'd all be in
if God should go on strike.

"Be Thankful"

Be thankful that you don't already have
everything you desire.  If you did, what
would there be to look forward to? Be
thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times. During
those times you grow. Be thankful for your
limitations, because they give you opportunities
for improvement. Be thankful for each new
challenge, because it will build your strength
and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach
you valuable lessons. Be thankful when you're
tired and weary, because it means you've
made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

"GOD'S CAKE"

Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this", or "Why did
God have to do this to me".

  Here is a wonderful explanation!

A daughter was telling her Mother how everything was going wrong...
She was failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her
  best friend was moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother was baking a cake and asked her daughter if
she would like a snack. The daughter said, "Absolutely Mom, I love
  your cake."

"Here, have some cooking oil," her mother offered.

  "Yuck" replied her daughter.

"How about a couple raw eggs?"

  "Gross, Mom!"

"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?"

  "Mom, those are all yucky!"

  To which the mother replied:

"Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are
put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!
  God works the same way.

Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and
difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in
His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and,
eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a
sunrise every morning.  Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.

Have a Blessed day
