IF JESUS HAD AN OBITUARY

Jesus Christ, 33, of Nazareth, died Friday on Mount Calvary, also
known as Golgotha,  the place of the skull. Betrayed by the apostle
Judas, Jesus was crucified by the Romans, by order of the Ruler
Pontius Pilate.  The causes of death were crucifixion, extreme
exhaustion, severe torture, and loss of blood.

Jesus Christ, a descendant of Abraham, was a member of the house of
David. He was the Son of the late Joseph, a carpenter of Nazareth,
and Mary, His devoted Mother.  Jesus was born in a stable in the
city of Bethlehem, Judea.  He is survived by His mother Mary, His
faithful Apostles, numerous disciples, and many other followers.

Jesus was self educated and spent most of his adult life working as
a Teacher.  Jesus also occasionally worked as a Medical Doctor and
it is reported that he healed many patients.  Up until the time of
His death, Jesus was teaching and sharing the Good News, healing the
sick, touching the lonely, feeding the hungry, and helping the poor.

Jesus was most noted for telling parables about His Father`s
Kingdom and performing miracles, such as feeding over 5,000 people
with only five loaves of bread and two fish, and healing a man who
was born blind. On the day before His death, He held a Last Supper
celebratingthe Passover Feast, at which He foretold His death.

The body was quickly buried in a stone grave, which was donated by
Joseph of Arimathea, a loyal friend of the family.  By order of
Pontius Pilate, a boulder was rolled in front of the tomb.  Roman
soldiers were put on guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that everyone try to
live as Jesus did. Donations may be sent to anyone in need.

Thought For Today

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried
piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be
covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He
invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.

They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At
first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then,
to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He
was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and
take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal,
he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was
amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily
trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to
getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells
just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less

Trust in the Lord and He shall bring it to pass.

Have a Blessed Day
