"GOD’S CLOCK"

I don’t know why,
I don’t understand,
I can’t see the time
On the clock in God’s hand.
Does it read like mine?
Is the time the same?
Does it go by hours?
Is it a designer name?
No, I don’t think so,
But I can’t quite see.
Why won’t the Lord
Show it to me?

If only I knew,
Then I could plan.
I could think of the future,
And know where I stand.
I could see all the reasons.
I could know how much longer
I must keep on this journey.
I could be so much stronger.
I could do it myself.

I’d be happy in knowing
What I’ll be doing,
Where I’ll be going.
I wouldn’t need guidance
Or help from the Lord.
No need to keep praying
Or reading His Word.
He’d give me the clock
Right out of His hands,
Along with the tools,
The blueprints, and plans.

But what if I don’t like
That things that I see?
Then I’ll just ask God
To change them for me.
"But wait," He would whisper,
"You wanted to see
The clock and the plans.
You took them from me,
And you did not notice
What I had in store.
Had you followed My plan
You’d have had so much more.
But you thought you could do it
In a much better way.
Then when things went all wrong
You asked me to stay.

You must make up your mind - -
Either trust in my plans,
Or keep trying to see
The clock I My hands,
For your timing’s not mine,
And it never will be.
You just trust and obey.
Leave the rest up to me."

"Blessings"

Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.

Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue.....
But never forget to remember...
Those that have stuck by you.

In times, tho' you were weary,...
Thru turmoil and strife....
You made it your business...
To live a good life.

Always remember to forget...
The troubles that passed away....
But never forget to remember....
The blessings that come each day.

Have a Blessed Day
