"WHY GO TO CHURCH"Some go to church to take a walk.
Some go to church to laugh and talk. Some go to church to meet a friend.
Some go to church, their time to spend. Some go to church to meet a lover.
Some go to church, a fault to cover. Some go to church for speculation.
Some go to church for observation. Some go to church to doze and nod.
The wise go there to worship God.WHY DO YOU GO?
Read John 4:24"LITTLE ROY"A young boy walked to school
With books in hand each day
' Remember the Golden Rule '
His mama would always say.
Even tho' he was only eight
He walked alone, this boy
Never absent, never late
They called him 'Little Roy.'
Little Roy was only five
The day his daddy died
Wondering how they would survive,
Remembering how mama cried.
After that, times were rough,
Not enough food to eat
This made Little Roy get tough,
Mama looked old and beat.
His shorts were torn and old,
One ragged pair of jeans
Little Roy had never told
But kids at school were mean.
Little Roy in High School now
Just about to Graduate
Years that he had done without,
Now College would have to wait.
Mechanic job, he worked in town
For Roy, life's still a test
In a Garage he could be found,
Working harder than all the rest.
Five years past, a bitter man
Still searching for that Light
Little Roy couldn't understand
Why mama still cried at night.
She was sick, Little Roy knew
Her medicine took all he had
Every day he dreaded too,
For the day she joined his dad.
He buried mama that next year
Near daddy, side by side
Long time since Roy shed a tear,
That day he knelt and cried.
Ten years later to the day
Little Roy walked the aisle
Married a Christian who loved to pray
They were happy for a while.
She lost his baby and her life,
Little Roy was alone again
Mad at God, he missed his wife
But the Lord had plans for him.
One year later, took a walk
Into a church one night
Sat and heard the Preacher talk,
His heart prepared to fight.
Five years later stood a man
With a sermon to enjoy
At the Pulpit now with Bible in hand
They call him 'Pastor Roy.'
Sunday there were tearful eyes,
As he told his story, but understand
The Lord, HE had a reason why
For Roy now holds God's Hand.
Have a Blessed Day
