Fw: trip to St. Louis

Posted by: lifeunlimited <lifeunlimited@...>

Friends:

Your prayer support and your personal notes to Jim and Deanna have been wonderful.  Thank you so much for both.

We thought you'd like to read Deanna's note below as it pertains to their appointment Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Barnes' Hospital in St. Louis.

In case you don't know, Jim pastors FBC in LaGrange, MO, about 20 miles north of Hannibal on the Mississippi River.

If you'd like to see pictures of them, you can go to our special WebShots album site and click on the "Family" album.  There are four or five pictures there that include them.  The web address is  http://community.webshots.com/user/01lum .

We will inform you as to the outcome of the Friday appointment.

ONE FINAL THING:

Remember that today is the annual National Day of Prayer and Fasting in the U.S.  Include some time to participate in this major event at this particular time in U.S. history.

Enjoy the letter below.

Subject: trip to St. Louis

We finally heard from the doctor’s office about our appointment at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.  It will be Friday morning at 9:30.  They will do an ultrasound first to double check the kidneys, bladder and fluid level, etc.  Then we will meet with the specialist.  That was the soonest they could work us in.

In addition to all the emotion, etc. of having to go through this and having to wait the eternity of 3 more days, we will miss seeing Michael perform as a magician in the Kindergarten Circus that day.

We are humbly awed, not at the fact that so many are praying along with us during this time, (we were confident that all asked to pray would be faithful to do so) but at the many letters of encouragement, love and support we have received already just since yesterday – many from people we have never met.

We are not fearful but trusting fully in God’s ability and faithfulness as the Great Physician (and as one wrote, the Great Obstetrician).  Before she was even conceived, I was assured that this child (like all children) had a specific calling and destiny to fulfill in the Kingdom – hence the choosing of her name (Nicole – victorious heart, and Grace – the indwelling presence of God enabling us to be and do what we’re called to be and do).  All that combined is more than enough for us to expect anything but an outcome that is in accordance with these promises.

That said, the emotions of simply being a parent desiring the best in every area of your child’s life, still makes it difficult to wait.

We appreciate your continued prayers and will know more on Friday.

By the way, she was very active during the night (at least from 2:45 am until 4:15 when I couldn’t sleep) so maybe she’s turning around.  Also, there are no restrictions on me at this time, so we’re trying to get some of the things done during this vacation week that we had originally planned.

Thanks again!

Deanna
