I'm having amazing results with the dbx 266XL, really nice, smooth, and even...channel one handles peaks, channel two deals with everything else ( I run the 2 channels together in series...)

I'm looking for recommendations for a good compressor. Yeah, I know
you can get great ones for $1500, but that's not the budget. I am
thinking of something along the lines of dbx, FMR Audio, etc. What's
the concensus?
