SERMON SEED ON THE IMPORTANCE OF EVANGELISM

Someone on an instant messaging service asked me for a sermon seed on the importance of evangelism. I accidentally lost contact with you. I do hope that I reach you by sending this outline to the whole mailing list. Hopefully others will benefit by this. Revelation 20:11-15

WHY I BELIEVE IN EVANGELISM

There are many reasons to believe in evangelism. The best reason is the great commission of Matthew 28:19-20. However the account of The Great White Throne Judgment of unbelievers gives me four more reasons to believe in evangelism.

I believe in missions because of:

1. THE MAJESTY OF THE JUDGE (The Lord Jesus) Vs. 11

2. THE MULTITUDES THAT ARE PRESENT Vss. 12a & 13a

3. THE METHOD OF JUDGMENT Vss. 12b & 13B.
Unsaved men will be punished for their works, just as saved men will be rewarded for their works (1 Corinthians 4:5, 2 Corinthians 5:10) . This only has to do with severity of judgment or reward, not salvation.

4. THE MISERY OF THE MISSING ENTRY. Vss. 14-15
When a person is born again he or she has his name written in the "Book of Life." When a person is not born again, he or she faces the punishment of the Lake of Fire. If a person's name is missing, so is Heaven for that person.
