The parable of hidden treasure is one of many references Jesus made to money and possessions. In fact, 15% of everything Christ said relates to this topic – more than His teachings on heaven and hell combined. Why did Jesus put such an emphasis on money and possessions? Because there's a fundamental connection between our spiritual lives and how we think about and handle money. We may try to divorce our faith and our finances, but God sees them as inseparable.

Three friends from the local congregation were asked "When you're in your
casket, and friends and congregation members are mourning over you,  what
would you like them to say?
 
"Artie said: "I would like them to say I  was a  wonderful husband, a Fine
spiritual leader, and a great family man.
 
"Eugene commented: "I would like them to say I was a  wonderful teacher and
servant  of God who made a huge difference in people's lives."
 
Don said: "I'd  like  them to say, "Look, he's moving!"

"Very Old Age"
 
 
At his 103rd birthday party, my grandfather was asked if he planned to be around for his 104th.
 
"I certainly do," he replied. "Statistics show that very few people die between the ages of 103 and 104."

"Backslider"
 
 
A backslider suddenly began attending church
faithfully on Sunday mornings instead of going
fishing. The pastor was highly gratified and told
him, "How wonderful it makes me feel to see you
at services with your good wife!"
 
"Well, Preacher," said the fisherman, "it's a
matter of choice. I'd rather hear your sermon
than hers."
