Deep-fried Shrimp W/sherry Sauce

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Deep-fried shrimp
1 Onion
1 T Cornstarch
2 T Sherry
2 t Soy sauce
1/2 c Stock
2 T Oil

INSTRUCTIONS

Deep-fry shrimp as in "Basic Deep-fried Shrimp" and keep warm. Mince
onion. Blend together cornstarch, sherry, soy sauce and stock. Heat
remaining oil. Add minced onion and stir-fry until translucent (1 to  2
minutes). Add cornstarch-sherry mixture and cook, stirring, until
sauce thickens. Pour over shrimp and serve.  From <The Thousand Recipe
