Far East Appetizer Meatballs

INGREDIENTS

1 cn Spam luncheon meat; (12 oz)
2/3 c Dry bread crumbs
1/2 c Chopped well-drained bean sprouts
1/4 c Chopped green onions
1/4 ts Powdered ginger
Freshly-ground black pepper; to taste
Cocktail picks
=== FAR EAST DIPPING SAUCE ===
1 c Tomato juice
1/4 c Finely-chopped green pepper
1/3 c Finely-chooped green onions
1/4 ts Ground ginger

INSTRUCTIONS

Grind Spam or process in food processor using chopping blade, until finely
chopped. Combine Spam with bread crumbs, bean sporuts, onion, ginger, and
pepper. Using about 1 tablespoon for each meatball, shape mixture into 24
balls. Place on rack in shallow baking pan; bake in 425 degrees oven 15
minutes. Cool to room temperature.
Spear meatballs on cocktail picks and dip into hot Far East Dipping Sauce.
Far East Dipping Sauce: In small saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring
to a boil; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Serve hot.
This recipe yields 24 meatballs.
