INGREDIENTS

2 c Flour
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 t Salt
1 t Baking soda
1 t Cinnamon
1 t Nutmeg
1/4 t Cloves, ground
3 Eggs
1 c Fig preserves
1 c Oil
1 c Buttermilk
1 T Vanilla
1/2 Stick butter, 1/4 cup
1/2 c Sugar
1 T Light corn syrup
1/4 t Baking soda

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat oven to 325 F. Combine cake ingredients and mix well. Pour into a
9x13" greased cake pan; bake for 45 minutes. Make glaze by combining
ingredients and boiling for 3 minutes. Pour over cake while cake is
warm. May be served with whipped cream or whipped topping or plain.
Note: applesauce may be substitute for fig preserves. The Greeks Have
