Fresh Mint Sauce

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 ts Cornstarch
1/4 c Cold water
1/4 c Fresh mint leaves
3 tb Light corn syrup
1 tb Lemon juice
1 dr Green food coloring (optional)

from _The Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook_.
In a small saucepan combine cornstarch and cold water; stir in mint leaves,
corn syrup and lemon juice. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Cook
and stir 1 to 2 minutes more. Strain. If desired, stir in green food
coloring. Serve with lamb or pork. Makes about 1/2 cup.
