German Apple Pudding Cake

INGREDIENTS

2 c Peeled Apples, Diced
1 c Sugar
1 Whole Egg
1 c Flour
1 1/2 t Cinnamon
1 t Baking Soda
1 c Nuts, Chopped
3/4 c Raisins
1 t Vanilla
1/2 c Brown Sugar
1 c Water
1/2 c Sugar
2 T Flour
1/4 c Butter
1 t Vanilla
1/2 c Nuts, Chopped
1/2 c Raisins

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix apples and sugar together. Let stand until sugar is thoroughly
dissolved. Add eggs and mix well.    Cake  Sift dry ingredients
together. Stir into apple mixture. Add nuts,  raisins and vanilla. Pour
into 8 x 8" pan which is slightly oiled.    Topping  Mix sugar, water
and flour. Cook until slightly thick and clear. Add  the rest of the
ingredients and stir until butter is melted. Pour  over hot baked cake
