1/2 lb Dried ginger (pounded green ginger)
1 ga Water
1/2 Lime
Few cloves
3 lb Sugar
1/4 pt Rice (white)

INSTRUCTIONS

Recipe By: What's Cooking in Guyana, 1973
1.  Put all ingredients into a clean jar.
2.  Stir until sugar is dissolved.
3.  Cover jar and leave for two days.
4.  On third day strain through a thin muslin, and bottle.
5.  Serve with cracked ice. N.B. If only a mild flavour is required, lessen
the amount of ginger.
