Golden Apple Streusel Pie

INGREDIENTS

1 9-inch pastry pie shell
1/4 c Sugar
1/8 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla extract
4 c Pared, cored and chopped
Golden delicious apples
1 Egg, seperated
2 tb Flour
1 c Dairy half and half sour
Cream
Streusel topping (recipe)

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Preheat oven to 375F. 2. Brush pastry shell with beaten egg white and
bake for 7 minutes 3. In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour and salt. Stir
in half and half sour cream, remainder of the egg white, egg yolk and
vanilla.  Beat until smootah. Stir in apples, spoon in pastary shell, and
bake for 45 minutes. Sprinkle Streusel Topping over apples and bake for 15
additional minutes or until knife inserted near centre comes out clean.
Serve warm or chilled.
