Good Old-Fashioned Pancake Syrup

INGREDIENTS

2 Boxes (1-lb) dark brown sugar
1 c Granulated sugar
4 c Water
3/4 c Dark Karo syrup
1 tb Maple flavoring

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine brown and granulated sugars, salt, water and corn syrup in a large
saucepan.  Stir over medium high heat until sugar dissolves.  Boil briskly
for 10 minutes or until syrup is full-bofied when poured from spoon.
Mixture should be about 7 cups. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in maple flavoring.
Funnel into sterilized bottles or other gift containers. Cover. Store in
refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.  Makes 7 cups.
