Let us thank God heartily as often as we pray that we have His Spirit in us to teach us to pray. Thanksgiving will draw our hearts out to God and keep us engaged with Him; it will take our attention from ourselves and give the Spirit room in our hearts.

Gordon’s Succulent Soy Sauce Chicken

INGREDIENTS

1 c Soy sauce
1 tb Dry mustard
1 1/2 ts Dry ginger
1 ts White pepper
5 Cloves crushed garlic
1/2 c Peanut oil

INSTRUCTIONS

* Mix sauce ingredients in a closed container, refrigerate at least
overnight. * Marinate chicken in sauce 1 hour before roasting. * Cover
chicken with foil and roast for 1/2 hour at 400 degrees F. * Remove foil,
add 1/2 C. water and reduce heat to 375 degrees F. * Baste chicken every 20
minutes, adding water to the pan as needed. * Continue roasting until skin
is brown and crispy, and chicken is done. Total cooking time is 1 1/2 to 2
hours.
This recipe is also great with pork, veal, and beef ribs! Makes 4 servings.
