INGREDIENTS

1 1 lb can diced beets
2 tb Sugar
1 tb Cornstarch
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 c Vinegar
2 tb Butter

INSTRUCTIONS

Drain beets, reserving 1/3 cup liquid. In saucepan, combine sugar,
cornstarch, and salt. Stir in reserved liquid, vinegar, and butter. Cook
and stir till mixture thickens and bubbles. Add beets and heat through.
NOTES : You may use fresh beets for this recipe.  Peel and dice beets,
barely cover with water, and simmer until tender.  Allow to cool before
continuing with recipe.
