INGREDIENTS

2 c All-purpose flour
3 ts Baking powder
2 ts Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
2 tb Butter; up to 4
2/3 c Milk
10 oz Gouda cheese; shredded
1 c Finely diced cooked ham
1/4 c Finely chopped celery
2 tb Minced onion
3 tb Mayonnaise

INSTRUCTIONS

DOUGH
FILLING
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in the butter. Stir in milk with a fork.
Turn dough onto a floured board and knead for 15 to 20 seconds. Roll out
dough into an oblong about 1/4 inch thick. Mix together filling ingredients
and spread over the dough. Roll up jelly roll fashion. Cut into 3/4 inch
slices and place 2 1/2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375
F for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 16 to 20
pinwheels. Serve with coffee for breakfast, with soup for lunch or dinner
or on their own as a light snack.
