Homemade Zataar (middle Eastern Spice Blend)

INGREDIENTS

2 t Powdered oregano
2 t Dried oregano leaves
2 T Powdered thyme
1 t Dried thyme leaves
2 t Powdered savory
2 t Powdered marjoram
1/2 t Dried marjoram leaves
1 T Sumac powder
1/3 c Sesame seed
1 1/2 t Kosher salt
Finely minced peel of 2
lemons yellow part only

INSTRUCTIONS

Makes scant 3/4 cup  In a small bowl, blend together oregano, thyme,
savory, marjoram,  sumac, sesame seed, kosher salt and lemon peel.  Can
be stored  tightly covered 2 to 3 months.  Note: Sumac is a piquant
seasoning available at specialty stores such  as Middle Eastern stores.
