Jack Daniels Crab And Corn Chowder

INGREDIENTS

4 1/2 T Flour
1/2 c Celery
1/2 c Onion
3 T Butter
1 c Red potatoes, diced
2/3 c Fresh corn
1/2 T Crab base, OR
1 Chicken boullion cube
1 1/2 c Water
1 c Cream
3/4 c Dungeness crab meat
1 pn Thyme
1 pn Salt
1 pn Black pepper
1/2 t Old Bay Seasoning
1 T Minced fresh parsley
2 T Jack Daniels Whiskey

INSTRUCTIONS

Precook potatoes, drain, cut and set aside.  Sweat onions, celery and
corn with butter, add flour and thyme and cook 5 - 10 minutes.  Add
water and crab base, Old Bay Seasoning, parsley and 1/2 cup of the
crab meat. Add heavy cream and bring to 180 degrees. Add potatoes and
salt and pepper to taste. Add Jack Daniels and remainder of crab meat
