Jumbo Shrimp And Asparagus

INGREDIENTS

2 Fresh asparagus, cut into
1 Inch lengths
2 c Water
2 T Cooking oil
24 Shrimp, cleaned and
Lenghtwise in half
2 t Fresh ginger, chopped
2 T Soy sauce
1 t Sugar
1 t Sherry
1/8 t Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Add the asparagus pieces to the water. Bring to a boil and continue  to
cook for 3 minutes. Drain and save 2 Tbs. of the cooking liquid.  Heat
the cooking oil in a heavy skillet.  Add shrimp pieces and cook  until
the color changes..about 5 minutes. Add the asparagus, ginger,  soy
sauce, sugar, sherry and salt. Finally, stir in the 2 Tbs.  asparagus
water and continue to cook for 5 minutes.  Recipe By     :  From:
