Kiwifruit- Onion Chutney

INGREDIENTS

1 c White vinegar
1 c Brown sugar, packed
3/4 ts Salt
1/2 ts Ground ginger
1/8 ts Ground red pepper
1 c Cooking apple, peeled and chopped
1/2 c Sweet onions, thinly sliced
1/2 c Raisins
1/4 Lemon, thinly sliced
1 1/2 c Kiwi fruit, peeled and chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large saucepan; cook over low heat until
mixture is reduced to 1 cup. Add apple and next 3 ingredients; cook 10
minutes. Stir in kiwifruit; bring to a boil. Remove from heat, cool. Cover
& chill. Serve with poultry, pork or ham.
Yield: 2 1/2 cups
Per serving: 1297 Calories; 2g Fat (1% calories from fat); 7g Protein; 340g
Carbohydrate; 0mg Cholesterol; 1724mg Sodium
