INGREDIENTS

2 c Sugar
2 c Karo (red label) syrup
1/2 c Hot water
1 Lump of butter (about 1 tb)
1/2 lb Or more raw peanuts rolled with a rolling pin
1 ts Baking soda

INSTRUCTIONS

Boil sugar, syrup, water, and butter until golden brown stirring often. Add
baking soda to the raw peanuts. Grease a cookie sheet. Pour peanuts into
the syrup. Remove from the fire AT ONCE. Pour on on the greased cookie
sheet, smoothing over into a thin layer.
