INGREDIENTS

1 pk Yeast, active dry
1 ts Sugar
1/4 c Warm water
6 Eggs
6 c Flour
1/2 c Sugar
1/4 c Butter, melted
1/4 ts Nutmeg
1 c Milk, evaporated
1 c Water
1 ts Salt
Oil for deep frying
Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Dissolve the yeast and the 1 teaspoon sugar in the warm water. Measure the
flour into a large bowl; make a well in the center. Add yeast, eggs and
remaining ingredients. Beat to form a soft dough. Cover and let rise until
doubled. With a circular motion, following the outer edge of the bowl, turn
dough and let rise until doubled. Heat deep fat to 375 degrees. Spoon
teaspoonfuls of dough from the bowl being careful not to allow the risen
dough to fall. Drop into fat and fry until browned. Drain on absorbent
paper. Shake in a bag of granulated sugar and serve hot! Makes 6-7 dozen.
