Marinated Beef

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Lean beef
1 Or
2 Cloves garlic
4 tb Soy sauce
2 ts Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
2 tb Oil

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Slice beef against the grain in 1/4-inch slices. Mince garlic and
combine with soy sauce, sugar and salt. Add to beef slices and toss gently.
2. Let stand 1 to 2 hours, turning occasionally. Then drain, discarding
marinade.
3. Heat oil very hot. Pan-fry beef until done (about 2 minutes on each
side). Serve plain or over stir-fried spinach.
NOTE: When grilled as in the variations below, this is known as barbecued
beef. VARIATIONS:
Broil under medium heat until done (about 3 minutes on each side.
Cook on a charcoal grill (about 2 minutes on each side).
