INGREDIENTS

5 c Flour
1 pk Yeast
1 1/4 c Milk
3 tb Sugar
2 tb Butter
1 1/2 ts Salt
3 Eggs

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine yeast with 2 cups flour. Heat milk, butter, sugar and salt till
warm and butter is melted. Combine the flour and milk mixture along with
the eggs and beat for 1/2 minute on low, scraping the bowl and then beat on
hight for 3 minutes. Add enough flour to make a moderately stiff dough and
knead until smooth(5-8 minutes by hand). Shape into a ball, place in a
greased bowl, cover and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours.
Punch down and divide into 5 parts, cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Roll
each ball into a 5-inch circle, place on a greased baking sheet, cover and
let rise until doubled, about 30-45 minutes. If desired brush with milk and
sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees or until golden, 15-20 minutes.
Cool completely. Slice breads in half to to form 2 thin circles, place on a
baking sheet and toast for 40 minutes at 275 degrees, then trun over and
bake another 20 minutes or until golden.
