If thankfulness does not move us to serve God, then we do not truly understand who our God is and what He has done in our behalf. Without gratitude for Christ’s sacrificial love, our duty will become nothing more than drudgery and our God nothing more than a dissatisfied boss.

Mashed Potatoes (Taurus)

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 lb Potatoes (4 medium), peel and cube
1/2 c Yellow onion (1 small), finely chopped
Water, salted
1/3 c Skim milk, warmed
2 ts Margarine
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts White pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Substitutions: "one cup" plain yogurt for 1/3 cup warm skim milk. Unsalted
butter for margarine.
In a medium saucepan combine the potatoes and onions with just enough
salted water to cover. Bring the water to a boil and simmer, covered, for
15 to 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Drain.
In a large bowl, mash the potatoes and onion with a potato masher; or force
them through a ricer into the bowl. Beat in the milk or yogurt, butter,
