CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Mennonite 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

3 Grated carrots
1 c Celery – chopped
2 Tart apples (I usually use MacIntosh apples)
3/4 c Raisins
1 ts Lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS

Dear Marilyn & all - This is a yummy carrot/raisin salad my family loves.
I'm not sure where I got the recipe originally, but it was when we lived n
the Philadelphia area. May have been in the Philly paper. I have used this
as a summer salad for over 25 years. The kids love it!
Mix well. Cover and chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
**NOTE: No dressing is needed, as the apples and carrots provide plenty of
moisture.
** I serve this in scoops on a lettuce leaf. (use an ice cream scoop to get
the right shape) Posted to TNT - Prodigy's Recipe Exchange Newsletter by
