If thankfulness does not move us to serve God, then we do not truly understand who our God is and what He has done in our behalf. Without gratitude for Christ’s sacrificial love, our duty will become nothing more than drudgery and our God nothing more than a dissatisfied boss.

INGREDIENTS

1 c Butter
1 c Sugar
4 Eggs
1 cn (4-oz) diced green chilies
1 cn (16-oz) creamed corn
1/2 c Grated jack cheese
1/2 c Grated cheddar cheese
1 c Flour
1 c Corn meal
4 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix butteer, sugar, eggs. Add chilies and corn.  Mix
ingredients together, add to creamed ingredients. Then add cheese and mix.
Grease and flour an 8x12x2 pan. Reduce heat to 300° and bake for 1 hour.
