Mix first 4 ingredients in a saucepan. Heat until it boils, stirring well.
Remove from heat; add peanut butter, stirring til it 'melts in'. Add
oatmeal, cocoa, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Drop by tablespoon on wax
paper or clean smooth tabletop. Let them cool. I generally stir in more
oatmeal than the recipe calls for because they harden up faster, and we can
eat them sooner. ;)
