INGREDIENTS

2/3 c Shortening
2 c Sugar; brown
2 Eggs, beaten
1 c Raisins Water; boiling
1 ts Soda, baking
2 c Flour
2 c Oatmeal
1/2 c Nut meats, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream shortening. Add sugar and the beaten eggs. Mix well. Mix the soda in
boiling water and add to the above. Add flour, oatmeal, raisins and nut
meats.  Mix well and drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12
minutes in moderate oven.
