Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

INGREDIENTS

2 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1 Stick butter or margarine; softened
1/2 c Shortening; softened
1 c Granulated sugar
1 c Packed light brown sugar
2 ts Vanilla extract
2 Eggs
2 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c Quick oats

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, shortening,
granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla ln large mixer bowl until creamy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in
flour mixture. Stir in morsels and oats. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto
ungreased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 350 degree F. over for 8 to 11
minutes or untl golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks
to cool completely. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
Per serving: 3654 Calories; 125g Fat (30% calories from fat); 37g Protein;
607g Carbohydrate; 392mg Cholesterol; 3706mg Sodium
