INGREDIENTS

1/2 c Butter
1/2 c Blanched; slivered almonds
1 tb Dark brown sugar
2 Cloves garlic; pressed
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
1/4 c Dry white wine or sherry
4 sm Dozen white onions; fresh or canned

INSTRUCTIONS

Melt butter. Stir in almonds and brown sugar. Add pressed garlic,
seasonings and wine. Add onions and stir until well coated. Cover and bake
at 350° for 1 hour, stirring or shaking pan occasionally to coat onions.
Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
