Peach Cobbler (old Fashioned)

INGREDIENTS

3/4 c Flour
1 ds Salt
2 t Baking Powder
1 c Sugar
3/4 c Milk
1/2 c Butter
2 c Sliced Peaches, Fresh
Whipped Cream Or Ice Cream
Optional

INSTRUCTIONS

Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Mix with i cup sugar, slowly stir
in milk to make batter. Melt butter in a 8 x 8 x 2" baking pan. Pour
batter over melted butter. Do not stir. Mix the peaches and 1 cup
sugar thoroughly and carefully spoon them over batter. Bake 1 hour at
350 degrees. Serve hot or cold with whipped cream or homemade ice
