Pear and Pecan Cake

INGREDIENTS

2 c Flour
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1 1/2 c Brown sugar; firmly packed
1/2 c Vegetable oil
3 Eggs
1/4 c Sugar
1/4 c Water
1 ts Vanilla
5 Firm peas; cored and chopped
1/2 c Pecans; chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350F. Butter and flour a 9" x 13" baking pan. Sift together
flour, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg and salt. Beat together brown sugar,
oil, eggs, sugar, water and vanilla until smooth. Blend in dry ingredients.
Stir in pears and pecans. Pour batter into pan. Bake for about 55 minutes,
cool before serving.
