INGREDIENTS

4 Regular white bread, i.e.
Wonder
6 Pears, peeled and cored
1 Stick cinnamon
3/4 c Sugar
3/4 c Water
Butter
Chantilly cream or ground
cinnamon
4 Rebanadas de pan "bimbo"
creo que se llama pan de
caja pero no estoy
segura
es ese pan que tiene una
orillita y lo del centro
es
suave y blanco."Bimbo" es
una marca que se vende
aquí
en México y todos los
mexicanos así conocemos
el
pan.
6 Peras peladas sin corazón
1 Rajita de canela
3/4 Taza azucar
3/4 Taza de agua
Mantequilla
Crema chantilly
Canela en polvo

INSTRUCTIONS

Place pears in pan with water, sugar and cinnamon stick, over low
heat. Cover. Take crust off bread slices, spread with butter and place
each on a greased "Coctelera" [The best translation I got was a
goblet-type glass where you serve shrimp cocktail or sherbert.
However, it seems you can use any bowl-shaped glass, like a custard
cup or champagne glass (not the tulip kind, the other one)] Shape the
bread to the mold, forming a nest. Bake for 20 min or so until golden.
When the pear nectar has thickened, place 1 pear on each nest. The
remaining 2 pears should be cut and used to fill up space on the
nests. Pour some of the nectar on each nest. You can serve them cold
with cream, or warm, sprinkled with cinnamon.
ayudarme y gracias otra vez. Posted to JEWISH-FOOD digest V97 #010
