Rice Pilaf #4

INGREDIENTS

2 tb Margarine
1 sm Onion minced
1 Clove garlic minced
1 c Raw rice
2 1/2 c Water
1 Envelope chicken noodle soup mix
2 tb Chopped parsley
Black pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

(If you have access to Goodman's Noodle Soup mix, the recipe is on the back
of the box and has been for years!)
Saute the onion and garlic in the margarine for 3 minutes or until onion is
translucent but not browned.  Stir in the rice and cook stirring for 1
minute. Add the water and bring to a boil. Add soup mix. Cover tightly and
simmer over low heat for 30 minutes *DO NOT STIR DURING THIS TIME!* Add
parsley and black pepper and toss with a fork.
This is great with anything really!  (Make sure not to add salt since the
soup mix is generally very high in sodium)
