Rice Stuffing for Turkey

0
(0)
CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Grains 1 servings

INGREDIENTS

4 Stalks of celery; (diced) (up to 5)
1 pk Slivered almonds
16 oz Fresh mushrooms; (sliced)
1/2 Green pepper; (diced)
8 oz Sausage
2 1/2 c Cooked long grain and wild rice

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook the sausage in a large skillet. Remove the sausage from the pan. Drain
most of the grease, reserving about a tablespoon. Add mushrooms, celery,
and peppers to the pan and saute until water from mushrooms is gone.
Combine all ingredients in large bowl and mix together. Stuff into the
turkey. Bake turkey as you normally would.
Pretty simple, and very tasty. I will note that I am on a very tight
budget, so I picked up one of the Uncle Ben's packages of rice which has
the long grain and wild rice all in one box, then added some plain white
rice I had at home.
