Note: This recipe is not from the Make-a-Mix book. It is my ownrecipe
using the ideas and mixes from the book. Blue Plate Special isone of
my families very favorite quick &homey dinners.In a large skillet or
dutch oven, brown the beef (along with the onions,if using) and break
up as finely as possible. Drain off any excessliquid. Remove to a bowl
and set aside. In the same skillet, combinethe gravy mix and cold
water. Stir constanServe over mashed potatoes. For a true blue plate
special, serve withpeas and carrots on the side.Variation: Substitute
one package of Homemade All-Purpose Ground MeatMix, thawed, for the raw
