Wow, what a pleasant surprise in my email!  I didn't even know for sure if the email list was still working.  I've not played at all for a while now - not attending a church regularly for various reasons and the band at work wrapped it up a few years ago.  I still plug the Watts into Yousician on occasion and pretend to know what I'm doing 🙂  Also have a slab of Poplar that needs to become a fretless jazz bass sometime this year.

Biggest news was a cancer diagnosis last year.  I got lucky and had a form that is rare, slow, and fairly easy to treat (a Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumor for the curious).  They got it all with some surgery and now I'm taking a chemo pill for three years.  Much less hassle that "dumb chemo" as they call it 🙂

I'm still running sound on the mac + MOTU, playing bass (very) occasionally, trying to help with growth in various aspects of the Newish Worship Team With Much Potential.  Still working for a living.  And doing astronomy big-time these days.

I recently embarked on getting my email and domains all straightened out and rearranged, and up popped ChurchBass!  I was a surprised and pleased.  Hope all y'all are doing okay.
