As long as strings are Pascal style thingies, the 255 limitation will have
to be lived with. So this is mac level rather than a FB question.
tedd did release some 'long string' stuff, and I trust that he'll post more
on the question, and adapt the routines for any future versions of his
favorite programming env.

Perhaps someone would like to look into ways of using zero terminated
strings in common places...
But hey. 255 is fine for short stuff, and TE flds, fine for the rest. The
interesting question is how to use the WASTE engine with FB.
