God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Prayer is indeed a mystery, but it is stressed over and over again in the New Testament as a vital prerequisite for the release and experience of God’s power. It is true that it is God who delivers, and that God stands in no need of human prayers before He can act on behalf of His afflicted servants. Yet there is the manward as well as the Godward aspect of such deliverance, and the manward side is summed up in the duty of Christians to intercede... In prayer, human impotence casts itself at the feet of divine omnipotence. Thus the duty of prayer is not a modification of God’s power, but a glorification of it.
Philip Hughes

Perspicuity [does] not mean that every verse of the Bible is equally clear or that the meaning of any text just falls off the page into the lap of the reader. Perspicuity…refers to the overall message of Scripture, not to any individual verse. The basic meaning of salvation in Christ was clear to all who had eyes to see or ears to hear, but the details and the finer points might only be available to those who have the necessary learning and skills to divide the Word of God.

COOKING Feta and Ricotta Cheese Fondue
Melt the butter in a heavy 8-inch skillet or a 1 quart saucepan over
low-heat. Add the feta and ricotta cheese, and pepper. Cook, stirring
constantly, and mashing the cheeses slightly, until they soften and begin
to bubble - about 5 minutes.
Stir in lemon juice, and garnish with the parsley if desired. Serve at
once; as the fondue cools, it loses flavor. VARIATIONS: Substitute Fontina
cheese for the Feta Cheese or you can substitute cottage cheese for the
ricotta. You can make both of these substitutions.
