[When suffering] you need to seek help. This help comes first and finally from the living God. He hears, helps, strengthens, and vindicates those who rely on Him. If you look anywhere else first, you will set yourself up for a fall. You will get snared in bitterness and revenge (spurning God for your pride). You will flee in avoidance and addiction (spurning God for your false refuges and comforts). You will develop a perverted dependency on others (spurning God for your trust in man). Sadly, our culture has awakened countless people to think about what evil-doers (“abusers”) have done to them, but it has cast them upon their own resources as “abuse victims.” Yet victims can properly understand their own sins and sufferings, and God’s grace.

To the believer: Dear brother, honor the Spirit of God as you would honor Jesus Christ if He were present. If Jesus Christ were dwelling in your house you would not ignore Him, you would not go about your business as if He were not there. Do not ignore the presence of the Holy Spirit in your soul. Fiesta Marinade for Smoking

INGREDIENTS

2	c	Wine, red
1/2	c	Soy sauce
1	tb	Worcestershire sauce
1/2	ts	Tabasco sauce
1/2	ts	Onion powder
1/2	ts	Pepper, black
1	tb	Salt, non-iodized
4	tb	Cooking oil
3	tb	Lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix all ingredients well.  Add meat and marinade in the refrigerator for a
minimum of 6 hours.  Remove from marinade, pat dry with paper towels but
don't rinse.  Place into smoker and smoke.
Cook in your regular fashion.  Lightly apply marinade to mead while cooking
as convenient.  Remember to reduce cooking time due to smoking, usually
20-30% less time will be required.
