We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The cross is not a nebulous, indefinable symbol of self-giving love; on the contrary, the cross is the monumental display of how God can be just and still pardon guilty sinners. At the cross, God, having imputed the sins of His people to Christ, pronounces judgment upon His Son as the representative of His people. There on the cross God pours out the vials of His wrath unmixed with mercy until His Son cries out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Psalm 22:1; Matthew 27:46).

The biblical exhortations to resist sexual sin are motivated by a recognition of how it deprives us of even greater satisfaction. The principal reason for saying No to physical immorality is that it undermines the ability of our hearts to deeply enjoy the multifaceted joys that God provides for His children. Sexual sin diminishes our capacity to feel God’s delight in who we are. It drains us of His power and hardens us to the loving overtures of His Spirit.

1 tb Olive oil

1 c Uncooked rice
1 tb Butter
1/2 ts Salt.

INSTRUCTIONS

Hi All: Thought I'd share these recipes, I've been making huge pots of
these meatballs, they're very easy but very flavorful. The rice goes very
nicely with them. The meatballs ("Albondigas En Salsa Chipotle" are based
on a recipe from Chile Pepper magazine. The rice ("Flagstaff Green Rice")
is based on a recipe in Food and Wine. As usual they bear little
resemblance to the original recipes.
Put the green onion, olive oil and jalapeno in a bowl, cover and micro-wave
full power about 40 seconds. Stir in parsley and cilantro. Set aside until
rice is cooked.
Boil water with butter and salt in micro-wave. Add rice, cook 20 minutes at
1/2 power.
Stir rice and add black pepper and chopped herb and jalapeno mixture. Stir
to mix thoroughly. Let sit covered until rice is fluffy.
Serve meatballs and sauce with the rice.
